Posting Photos – Blogging 101a

At some point in time you will no doubt wish to post images on your blog.  This is a bit more complicated than just writing, and there are a few things you must do before you can post the images.

Your image must be stored in a location that provides you with a URL.  There are a number of free image storage websites available for your use.  See the links on the sidebar for possible hosts.  Choose one and sign up for a free account.

Once you have your host account set up, you're ready to go.  The following steps might seem complicated at first, but once you've done it a few times it will be very easy.

  1. Select an image on your hard drive and upload it to your host (follow the directions provided by your image storage host)
  2. Your host will provide you with several URL types for your image.  This might include static links (which just put your picture on your site) or hot links (which link the photo back to the hosting page).  The link you use will depend on the requirements of both your blog host and image host.
  3. To add a static link, click on the tree icon above – this will bring up the form for inserting an image.
  4. Copy and paste the image URL into the form, type a description (optional), and select any other settings (all optional)
  5. Click insert, and your image will appear.
  6. To add a hot link, click on the HTML icon above.  This will open a new window showing the HTML code editor for your post.  Copy and paste the hot link information into the window, and click update to save your image.

    Новый способ давления на кандидата на пост Главы г. Химки

    Новый способ “наказать” тех, кто посмел участвовать в выборной кампании не на стороне действующей власти изобрели правоохранительные органы г.о. Химки.
    Руководствуясь не нормой закона, а чьей-то “волей” сотрудники милиции решили “проверить” все фирмы, внесшие денежные средства в избирательный фонд неудобных кандидатов.
    Начались “проверки” с телефонных звонков – где директор, сколько человек работает на фирме. После чего последовали “письма счастья” с просьбой предоставить всю бухгалтерскую документацию, учредительные документы фирмы, и даже, план экспликации БТИ.
    Такие запросы химкинским фирмам рассылает 1 отдел Оперативно-розыскной части № 9 Управления по налоговым преступлениям ГУВД Московской области за подписью начальника подполковника милиции Д.В. Языкова.
    И всё это в то время, когда Президент дал прямое указание правоохранительным органам о прекращении всех незаконных проверок малого и среднего бизнеса. С это целью внесены изменения в Федеральный закон “О милиции” – из статьи 11 этого закона исключены пункты 25 и 35, на основании которых ранее правоохранительные органы имели право проверять финансово-хозяйственную деятельность предприятий.
    Видно, об изменениях действующего законодательства местные правоохранительные органы не уведомлены. И не смотрят телепередачи с выступлениями Президента.
    Может быть, эта публикация подвигнет их к исполнению указаний Президента, а также к изучению и соблюдению действующего законодательства
