What do all those words mean?!!
- Blog – short for weblog; an online journal which may have personal, business, or newsy information
- Blogroll – the list of other people's blogs that you link on your own blog
- Blogoshpere – the community of all blogs
- Host – the website that maintains the servers (hardware) that store your blog or photos. Most offer free services, with upgraded features you may purchase for a monthly or yearly fee.
- HTML – stands for HyperText Markup Language, the code that makes up most basic websites, including blogs. Fortunately, you don't need to know HTML to create your own blog.
- Meme (pronounced "meem") - in blogging, an idea or set of questions that gets passed from one blogger to another. You see it on somebody's blog, decided to answer it on yours, then somebody else sees it and so on. A good explanation can be read here.
- Photoblog – a blog that focuses on the author's photography
- WYSIWYG – "what you see is what you get." This refers to the form where your write your posts, and means your blog will look just like what you're typing.
