Remember the golden rule of blogging -
Blog unto others as you would have them blog unto you!
In other words, be nice.
-
Don't write mean or hurtful things about people.
-
Don't leave mean comments on another's blog.
-
Respect people's privacy; don't spread gossip
-
Don't copy something that somebody else has written without giving proper credit – not only is this unfair, it could also be illegal
If you want something kept private, don't blog about it. If you must write it down, you'd be better off writing it on a piece of paper and burying it in your backyard. The Internet is not a private place, and no matter how much you think people won't find out, they will anyhow. Think of your blog as a wide open window into your life that will be read by friends, family, and strangers.
If somebody leaves mean comments on your blog, delete them and if possible block the user so they cannot bother you in the future.
Write legibly and coherently. Avoid netspeak abbreviations, bad language, aNd tYPinG LikE ThIs.
Blogging should be a fun and rewarding activity, and as long as you take into consideration how your blog represents you to the world you should have a good time with it.
